Direct Removals

I seldom write reviews however in this case I am compelled to do so. We recently moved and used Direct Removal Services from Oxford. They were amazing!
Chris and his team 7 guys total: showed up ready to work. They were extremely careful and wrapped everything multiple time over in blankets.
They disassembled all of the big items with much thought and attention.
When we got to our new place they put everything back together beautifully. We have allot of big items that needed this to be done to.
They took direction, all though I really didn't have to do to much
managing other than to tell them what to put where when we arrived. I am very pleased with Direct Removal Services. I would use them again in a heartbeat and recommend to anyone who asks.

Direct Removals are not member's of the Removals Ombudsman Scheme nor do they adhere the Scheme's high professional standards. One of the removals men had an extremely poor attitude, upon arrival, and was heavy handed. Indeed much of my antique furniture was damaged with corners chipped off, deep scratches, bruises, and panels damaged and missing, not too mention the walls scratched. Further, much of my furniture was damaged due to damp conditions while in storage with Direct Removals. Direct Removals insurers do not cover damage caused due to damp storage conditions. Due to the damp damage I had to dispose of soft furnishings. My antique furniture and books acquired mould, and shrinkage. Upon the furniture drying out much of the wood had stress cracks. The insurers paid an highly insufficient amount and Direct Removals refused to pay their insurance deductible portion to me of £250. Customers are required to be paid up in full prior to having their goods delivered. However, Direct Removals refuse to reciprocate the same level of courtesy and professionalism by paying the insurers deductible amount to the client. How disappointing after I paid thousands to Direct Removals. I would warn those searching for a removals company to protect their furniture and belongings and thereby use a company that is a member of the Removals Ombudsman Scheme - not Direct Removals Ltd.

We have used Direct Removals for our recent move.
They were helpful in giving us advice and upon visiting their premises, we were impressed with the secure storage facility. Our house wasn't finished when the builders said it would be but this also wasn't an issue as we were able to keep our furniture & goods with Direct until the move date was confirmed.
They were understanding and when we did finally move, it was truly like a well oiled machine. They took all the stress out of the move and I would happily recommend them if you are moving.
